How should I prepare before the annual health check-up?
Preparing for the annual health check-up is an important step, as proper preparation will lead to more accurate test results. Here are the steps to prepare:
1.Get enough rest.
Before the health check-up day, you should get at least 6-8 hours of sleep.
2.Fast from food and drinks.
Fast from food and drinks for 8-10 hours, and avoid all types of alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours. Additionally, avoid foods that are high in sugar and fat.
3.Prepare documents showing any pre-existing medical conditions.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, you should bring your medication and a medical certificate to show the examining doctor, as it will help in analyzing the results of your health check-up.
4.Wear appropriate clothing.
Choose to wear clothing that is suitable and convenient for the examination process, such as for blood tests at the elbow or chest X-rays.
5.Inform the doctor of any health symptoms before the check-up.
Pregnant individuals should inform the doctor or staff before the check-up to avoid tests that may pose a risk to the pregnancy. Those who are menstruating should avoid screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and urine tests.
Insured individuals can participate in the health check-up at all public hospitals and private hospitals participating with the Social Security Office, or receive services through the Ministry of Public Health, which provides proactive health check-ups for insured individuals at their workplaces.
